Sepp Blatter to watch semifinals Times News Service MUSCAT — Fifa President Sepp Blatter arrived late yesterday and will be watching today’s semifinals at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex. Blatter, who was expected to come on January 6, had put off his visit and was welcomed last night by the Oman Football Association officials. Before watching the semifinals, Blatter is expected to have a series of high-profile meetings and also hold discussions with football officials. Inclusion of Gulf Cup in the football calendar might crop up in the meetings as well as AFC president Mohammed bin Hammam’s suggestion of having this regional event every fours years will also be discussed. Blatter will also meet the media at the Crowne Plaza hotel today.
